From the "Breastfeeding Chart" in KKH's breastfeeding booklet. KKH: "when your baby passes urine and stools less than the above minimum requirement, please seek help as soon as possible." The log stops checking dirty nappies after day 6, because KKH says older babies may pass stools less often.
NUH's postnatal booklet counts much the same, with at least 6 heavy wet nappies a day from day 5 to 7, and 8 to 12 feeds a day. A baby who has enough milk is content and wets about six to eight nappies in 24 hours, KKH says.
Questions parents ask

KKH says 8 to 10 feeds a day, about every two to three hours, and to wake a sleepy baby to feed every 3 hours. NUH's booklet gives 8 to 12 feeds a day.
