Baby Clothing Size Calculator

Not sure what size to buy? Enter your baby's age to see the likely clothing size, with a height and weight chart from newborn to two years. Brands vary, so use it as a starting point.

Use age as the starting point, then sense-check against your baby's height and weight below. Sizes are by age but babies vary a lot.

Baby clothes are sized by age, but brands differ and babies grow at their own pace. If your baby is tall or above the average weight for their age, size up. Buy the next size up rather than stocking up on newborn, which is outgrown fast.

Baby clothing size chart by age, height and weight

Most baby clothing is labelled by age, but the height and weight ranges below are what those labels are really based on. If your baby sits between two sizes, go up, especially for sleepsuits and anything with feet.

Tips for buying baby clothes in Singapore

  • In our warm climate, light cotton and short sleeves work for most of the year; a thin layer is enough for air-conditioned malls.
  • Buy a size up for longevity, babies grow through newborn size quickly.
  • Choose easy nappy-change designs (envelope necks, snaps along the legs).
