Pokemon RUN 30 Singapore Edition takes over The Kallang on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026. It's a 4km fun run with no timing and no winners, and families can do the whole route at a walk, stroller and all. Online sign-ups for the run have now closed. The Pokemon Festival Zone stays free for everyone from 8am to 2pm on both days, so you can still take the kids along without a race slot.

We took every time and rule on this page from the organiser's FAQ, its haze and wet weather page and The Kallang's own event and getting-here pages on 3 November 2026. Plans can change at short notice, and haze is about this week, so look at the event page on The Kallang's site the night before you go.

Can you still sign up for the run?

Not online. The registration page on Race Roster now says online registration is closed. The organiser's rules named 8 November as the last day, but they also let it close earlier, for example once the run is full.

Entries can't be transferred or resold under those rules. Crew also check four kit items at the start pen, partly to stop scalping, so a bib bought from a stranger is a gamble we wouldn't take with a child in tow.

What's free for kids in the Pokemon festival zone

You don't need a run ticket for this part. The zone opens from 8am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, and you walk in through Riverside Walk. The organiser lists these for the Festival Zone:

  • Pikachu meet-and-greet sessions
  • a Kids Lounge with a colouring area
  • Pokemon-themed mini games and photo spots
  • a Pokemon GO booth and video game trial play
  • Pokemon Trading Card Game: New Trainer Journey
  • the Pokemon Pop Up Store, a Pokemon Time Tunnel and sponsor booths

Entry depends on how full the venue is, and the organiser warns of queues at peak times. Toddlers will get the most out of the colouring lounge and a Pikachu sighting. The Kallang's event page also promises Pikachu appearances on stage across the weekend.

Bringing a baby or young kids on the run

There's no minimum age. Children under 12 must be with an adult who holds a paid ticket. Under-3s get in free, but they need their own race slot to receive the medal and the other goodies. The rules also let a child under 90cm into the start pen without a bib, as long as a registered parent is with them.

Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Some parts of the route don't suit wheels, so the organiser sends them on an alternate route: you take the lift at the OCBC Aquatic Centre up to the Great Eastern Promenade. The rules strongly encourage a helmet for a child riding in a stroller. They also ask for at least a lap belt, and a parent has to stay with the stroller the whole way. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates and shoes with wheels are banned on the route.

What to bring on the morning

Four kit items get each runner into the start pen. You need the Type-themed bib, the Poke Ball arm or wrist band, the first partner lenticular card and the Pokedex search sheet. Forget one and you'll pay S$158 nett for a replacement kit at the start information counter, if any are left.

Crew mark the search sheet as you collect things along the course. They punch the bib when you get the finisher medal and the Pokemon RUN Pikachu Promo Card, which The Pokemon Company says every verified runner receives. A lost bib or sheet can't be replaced, so a zipped pocket beats a toddler's grip.

There's no bag deposit, so pack light. The Kallang rents out lockers from $6. Get there at least 20 minutes before your wave's flag-off for the security check. If you miss your wave, you can't move to a later one or to the other day, so head to the information counter at OCBC Square for help.

Haze and rain plan for the weekend

Visit Singapore's events page says Singapore is experiencing haze. The Kallang's site showed moderate air quality, a PSI of 65, at 10.45am on 3 November. The organiser is watching haze and the weather, and it posts each day's status by SMS and on Tribbe's Instagram and Facebook. Updates go out at 8pm the night before and again at 4am on the day.

Each day is judged on its own, so a cancelled Saturday doesn't cancel Sunday. A day called off for haze stays cancelled even if the air clears later, and the Pokemon Pop-Up Store stays shut that day too. With lightning around, some waves may be cancelled while others go ahead, and crew will send you to shelter.

Runners whose wave or day is officially cancelled still get their entitlements, the Pikachu promo card included, at a separate collection. Children, pregnant women, older people and anyone with lung or heart disease can ask for that collection instead of running in haze. Email pokemonrun30sg@tribbe.co before the event, and have a doctor's memo ready. Our haze and kids guide explains what each PSI band means for small lungs.

Getting to the stadium by MRT and bus

Leave the car at home, because Carpark A is closed from 9am on 4 November to 11.59pm on 9 November. Stadium station on the Circle Line has direct access to The Kallang. Tanjong Rhu on the Thomson-East Coast Line is a 9-minute walk (350m), and Kallang on the East-West Line is a 13-minute sheltered walk (600m). Mountbatten, also on the Circle Line, is 13 minutes away on foot.

Bus 11 stops on Stadium Crescent (stop 80199), right outside the Singapore Indoor Stadium. From the city, services 10, 14, 16, 70, 70A, 70M, 196 and 196A stop on Nicoll Highway opposite The Kallang (stop 80211). From there you cross the sheltered overhead bridge to the National Stadium. Taxi stands sit on Stadium Crescent (I28), on Stadium Boulevard next to the OCBC Arena (I29) and on Stadium Place by Kallang Wave Mall (I30). The Kallang says stations and roads get busier than usual on event days, so give yourself extra time.

Food and an indoor break nearby

Kallang Wave Mall at 1 Stadium Place is the nearest indoor stop, open from 10am to 10pm every day. That's after the first waves set off, so eat breakfast at home if you're in an early slot. The Festival Zone closes at 2pm, which leaves time for lunch at the mall once the kids have met Pikachu. If it pours, the mall is also your nearest dry spot. It's being refreshed, though: The Kallang says the works began in May 2026 and should finish by 2028.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Pokemon run in Singapore this year?

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026, at The Kallang. Flag-offs run from 7am to 11.30am, and the Festival Zone opens from 8am to 2pm on both days.

Is the Pokemon Festival Zone free to enter?

Yes. It's free for everyone from 8am to 2pm, run ticket or not. You walk in through Riverside Walk, and entry depends on venue capacity.

Can I still register for the Pokemon run?

Online registration has closed. Entries are non-transferable under the organiser's rules, so you can't take over someone else's slot.

Can toddlers and strollers join the run?

Yes. There's no minimum age, and strollers use an alternate route with a lift at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. Under-12s must be with a ticketed adult. Under-3s go free but need a slot of their own to get the medal and the promo card.

What happens if there is haze or rain on the day?

The organiser can delay, change or cancel the run. It posts updates at 8pm the night before and at 4am on the day, by SMS and on Tribbe's social media, and it decides each day separately.
