Figures checked 3 Oct 2026 against official government sources · Fussy Mama

These credits are being replaced by cash in 2027. The SG Child Support Package from the National Day Rally on 23 Aug 2026 pays $2,000 of Child Credits a year in cash from April 2027. Large Family LifeSG Credits stop, with no payment in 2027, and nobody has announced a new round of Child LifeSG Credits for that year either.
Separate them with commas. Singapore citizen children only.
Groceries, bills, pharmacy and anything else you could pay for with the credits.
Large Family LifeSG Credits are for married, widowed or divorced parents with 3 or more citizen children. The credits go to the CDA trustee of each child, so check that parent's LifeSG app.

Credits are valid for 12 months from the day they land in your wallet. Payments went out in batches, so your exact expiry date is the one shown in the LifeSG app.

Which LifeSG credits exist for children in 2026?

There are two schemes. Both land in the LifeSG app wallet of the child's CDA trustee, and you don't apply for either.

The 2025 round of Child LifeSG Credits for children born 2013 to 2024 was paid in July 2025, so those credits ran out in July 2026. If you still see a balance, it's from the 2026 round.

Is this the same as the SG60 vouchers?

No, and people mix them up a lot. SG60 Vouchers went to adults: $600 for every citizen aged 21 and above in 2025, and $800 for those aged 60 and above. You claim them on RedeemSG and spend them where CDC Vouchers are accepted. They expire on 31 December 2026. Children didn't get SG60 Vouchers. Their support in the SG60 year came as the $500 Child LifeSG Credits.

Where you can spend them

You pay through the LifeSG app by scanning a merchant's PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR code. The LifeSG page for the large family credits counts over 164,000 merchants on PayNow UEN QR and over 35,000 on NETS QR, online and in shops. That covers groceries, utilities, pharmacy items and transport.

So unlike the CDA, there's no approved list. Most parents let the credits absorb the supermarket bill. If you'd like them to go to the kids, use them where the CDA can't help, such as school shoes and uniforms, assessment books, glasses or swimming lessons.

Whatever you buy, pay with credits before cash. They stop being valid 12 months after they were credited, and the cash you didn't spend keeps.

Child Credits start for children turning 1 to 16 from 2026 onwards. The first payout is from April 2027, and after that it comes on your child's birthday. Set up PayNow for your child before 1 April 2027, and link it to a savings account in their name, not the CDA.

The government has said large families will get more help with healthcare, transport and housing on top of the package. Those details haven't been announced.

Worked example

Three children born in 2019, 2022 and 2025, checked on 3 Oct 2026. Each child got $500 of Child LifeSG Credits from 14 July 2026, which makes $1,500 that runs out around 13 July 2027.

The baby born in 2025 also got the 2025 round late, from 8 April 2026, so there's another $500 expiring around 7 April 2027. As a 3rd child who turns 1 in 2026, the baby brought in $1,000 of Large Family LifeSG Credits from 28 April 2026 as well.

That adds up to $3,000, and the first $500 expires in 186 days. If the family spends $600 a month through PayNow or NETS QR, the lot is gone in 5 months, well before any of it lapses.

Questions parents ask

How much are Child LifeSG Credits?

$500 for each Singapore citizen child aged 0 to 12. There was one round for 2025 and one for 2026, so a child born between 2014 and 2025 got $500 each year.

When do Child LifeSG Credits expire?

12 months after they're credited. The 2026 round was paid from 14 July 2026, so it expires around mid-July 2027. Your exact date is shown in the LifeSG app.

Do children get SG60 vouchers?

No. SG60 Vouchers were for citizens aged 21 and above in 2025. Children got $500 of Child LifeSG Credits that year.

Who receives the credits, mum or dad?

The parent who is the child's CDA trustee in MSF's records on the assessment date. That was 1 June 2026 for the 2026 round. If you can't find the credits, check the other parent's LifeSG app.

Where can I use Child LifeSG Credits?

At any shop or online merchant that takes PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR. Supermarkets, pharmacies, utilities and transport are all covered. You pay by scanning the QR code in the LifeSG app.

My baby was born in 2026. When do we get it?

In April 2027. Eligibility is checked on 1 March 2027, so make sure the Baby Bonus enrolment and CDA are done before then.

Will there be Child LifeSG Credits in 2027?

None have been announced as of 3 Oct 2026. From April 2027 every citizen child aged 1 to 16 gets $2,000 a year in cash as Child Credits under the SG Child Support Package.

Are Large Family LifeSG Credits ending?

Yes. LifeSG says there will be no payment in 2027, because Child Credits will go to every eligible child, though anything you were paid from 28 April 2026 stays valid for its 12 months.

What if my credits expire?

Credits are only valid for 12 months, and the official scheme page doesn't mention any extension. Use them on bills you'd pay anyway before the date in your app.

Amounts and dates checked on 3 Oct 2026 against SupportGoWhere, LifeSG and the SG60 site. Expiry dates here are worked out as 12 months from the first payment date of each round. Yours may be a few days later, so go by the date in your LifeSG app.
