If your kids are up at 6am, these cafes open early enough in Singapore to get breakfast in before the heat and the brunch crowd. Boomarang at Robertson Quay opens at 6am every day, and State of Affairs on Upper Thomson opens at 6am on weekends. Toby's Estate, Baker & Cook Hillcrest and three Ya Kun outlets open at 7am, and most of the rest are open by 7.30am or 8am. Check two things before you go: weekend hours often differ from weekday ones, and Atlas Coffeehouse and Nassim Hill Bakery close on Mondays. We took every opening time below from each cafe's own website on 11 October 2026; hours change, so check before a long drive.

Prams, high chairs and kids menus
None of the cafes we checked says anything about pram access or high chairs on its website. Two Wildseed outlets offer a baby chair if you ask ahead, and Boomarang, Wildseed at The Summerhouse and Wildseed at The Alkaff Mansion have food for children. For everything else, call ahead, or go right at opening, when there's room to park a pram beside the table. A few things that help:
- Go at opening time. The first hour is the quietest at most cafes, and you get first pick of tables.
- Pick outdoor seats if your baby is loud. Alfresco tables at the river, East Coast Park and the Wildseed outlets absorb noise better.
- Bring a foldable travel booster or a fabric seat harness for cafes without high chairs.
- Order the kids' food first. Toast and eggs come out fast; a toddler waiting 20 minutes won't.
- Check reservations: Atlas isn't taking any, PS.Cafe ECP is walk-in only at weekend mornings, and Common Man Joo Chiat only books from 5.30pm.
Our guide to kid-friendly cafes in Singapore covers what makes a cafe work with small children, family brunch in Singapore covers later weekend meals, and restaurants and cafes with playgrounds lists places with somewhere to play.
Cafes we dropped
Some early-opening cafes on older lists have closed or changed. On 11 October 2026, Carpenter and Cook's own site said it had closed, Choupinette's domain was up for sale, Bee's Knees at The Garage had become Wildseed at The Garage, and Kith's site listed only its Marina Square outlet, which opens at 10am. Nylon Coffee Roasters opens at 8.30am and closes on Tuesdays, and Toast Box's site was under maintenance, so it isn't in the tables.
