Free baby gifts in Singapore: what you can still claim, who qualifies and how
In this article
Most free baby gifts in Singapore today are small: a free library card, a diaper or skincare sample, and one gift bundle for lower-income Indian families. The SG60 Baby Gift closed on 28 February 2026, and the Government has said it has no plans to make such gifts permanent. Below is every offer we could confirm on the giver's own page, who qualifies, how to claim it, and what personal data is fair to give.
How to claim free baby gifts, step by step
- Register your baby's birth first. NLB's free library card needs the birth certificate, and most forms ask for a birth date. Our guide on how to register a birth takes you through it.
- Get your baby a free library card. NLB says Basic Membership is free for Singaporeans, and permanent residents pay a one-time $10.69. Sign up with Singpass at account.nlb.gov.sg using the birth certificate and one parent's NRIC.
- Check SINDA's Hello Baby bundle if you're an Indian family. SINDA says it's for citizens or PRs with a baby up to 12 months and a family per capita income of $1,600 or less.
- Pick your diaper size, then ask for samples. Huggies and Drypers both run free sample forms. Our diaper size guide helps you choose a size that fits.
- Try one skincare sample before you buy a full tub. Suu Balm's sample form is for Singapore only and lists a Kids' Care range.
- Set up a separate email for sign-ups. Most forms want an email and a mobile number, and promo mail follows.
- Give your name, email, mobile and address, and stop there. PDPC says organisations are generally not allowed to collect NRIC numbers, so skip any sample form that wants yours in full.
- Read the consent line before you submit. If it lets partners contact you for marketing, untick it where you can.
- Leave formula off your list for a baby under 12 months. Singapore's SIFECS code, run by HPB, bars free samples of infant formula for that age.
- Keep a note of what you signed up for. It stops double sign-ups and makes unsubscribing quick later.
Free baby gifts you can claim now
A gift is on this list only if its own page offered it on the day we checked. Brand offers change often, so treat the read date as the date it was last true.

Gifts that have closed or paused
The SG60 Baby Gift was for Singapore Citizen babies born in 2025. It held ten items, and registration closed on 28 February 2026. If your 2025 baby's gift never arrived, the contact on the official page is SG60_Baby_Gift@pmo.gov.sg.
In a parliamentary reply on 6 November 2025, the Government said there are no plans to bring in such gifts permanently. Support for babies born after 2025 is cash, covered below.
South West CDC's Baby Blisscard, its welcome gift for newborns in the district, is paused. The programme page says it is being refreshed, with details to come.
We found no public hospital page that promises a gift for new parents, so none is listed here. Ask your ward what it hands out when you go home.
Why there are no formula samples on this list
Singapore has a code on how infant formula is marketed, the SIFECS code, and HPB has run it since 2001. It covers formula for babies from birth to 12 months. It bars promoting those products with gifts, vouchers, loyalty points, cashback and free samples.
The code also says companies shouldn't ask pregnant women or mothers of infants for contact details to promote that formula. If you spot a newborn formula sample on offer, you can report it through HPB's SIFECS page or email HPB_SIFECS@hpb.gov.sg.
HPB's page says Singapore supports the WHO advice of breastfeeding alone for the first six months. If feeding is hard going, our breastfeeding support guide lists who can help.
The government's cash gift for newborns
Most of what the Government gives a newborn is cash. Children on the Baby Bonus Cash Gift keep getting payouts until 31 March 2027. MSF says eligible Singapore Citizen children born on or after 1 April 2027 get a Baby Gift of $10,000, paid in two parts within 12 months of birth. Families still on the old scheme get a top-up by 30 April 2027 that brings them to $10,000, where it applies.
Families with three or more children also get $1,000 of Large Family LifeSG Credits a year for each third and later citizen child, from the year the child turns one to the year they turn six. Our Baby Bonus and support guide has the full picture, the Baby Bonus calculator works out your amount, and the LifeSG credits planner tracks what you have left.
What to share when you sign up for a free sample
A free sample is a trade. You hand over contact details, and the brand gets to market to you. Keep your side of it small.
- Your name, email, mobile and delivery address are enough. PDPC's example for retail memberships uses a mobile number, email or partial NRIC as the ID instead of the full number.
- Keep your baby's birth certificate number to yourself. PDPC treats it the same way as an NRIC number. Share a birth date or due date if a form asks.
- Expect calls if a form lets sponsored partners or affiliates contact you. Untick that box if the form allows it.
- Register your number with the Do Not Call Registry to cut telemarketing calls and SMS. It's free and doesn't expire.
Once the freebies run out
Samples won't last long. For what a newborn needs, use our newborn shopping list, and see where to buy baby essentials for shops. Fair dates and deals are in our baby fairs guide. For the apps worth installing after the birth, see apps for new parents.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free baby box in Singapore?
Not for babies born now. The SG60 Baby Gift was for citizen babies born in 2025, and registration closed on 28 February 2026. The Government said in November 2025 that it has no plans to make such gifts permanent. Eligible citizen babies born from 1 April 2027 get the $10,000 Baby Gift instead, and that is cash.
How do I get a free baby gift pack in Singapore?
SINDA's Hello Baby bundle, worth $160, is the one gift pack we could confirm. It's for Indian families who are citizens or PRs, with a baby up to 12 months and a family per capita income of $1,600 or less. You apply on SINDA's page and it's delivered to your home.
Where can I get free baby samples in Singapore?
Huggies and Drypers run diaper sample forms, and Suu Balm has a skincare sample form for Singapore. Check the size before you request. On 6 Nov 2026 some larger Huggies sizes showed out of stock.
What free gifts for newborns does the government give in Singapore?
A free NLB library card for citizen babies, plus cash. That's the Baby Bonus Cash Gift now, then the $10,000 Baby Gift for citizen children born on or after 1 April 2027. Permanent residents pay $10.69 once for the library card.
Can I get free formula milk samples for my newborn?
No. The SIFECS code bars free samples, gifts and vouchers for infant formula for babies up to 12 months. If feeding is a struggle, our breastfeeding support guide lists who to call.
Do I need to give my NRIC to get free baby samples?
No. PDPC says organisations are generally not allowed to collect NRIC numbers. For memberships, its guidance points to a mobile number, email or partial NRIC instead. Give the least you can.
